the randomness that I call my life

to freakin get Larilyn off my back about updating!!! :)

Ok, so apparantly everybody (read: Larilyn) is requesting an update. Not only online, but now when I see her in person as well. It makes it very difficult to live with her. ;)
Seriously though, I haven't had much to talk about. I've been really sick since my birthday. Happy birthday to me. yay. I've had some major throat/tonsil/ear infection decide to take up residence in my head. I really think it's worn out it's welcome. (not that it was welcome to begin with) I think I have serious issues with my immune system. It always takes me forever to get over stuff. But anyway.....enough of that....here are the highlights of the last couple of weeks since my last update:

*Got my tax return! That's always fun. Getting money back is always better than having to pay money. Of course I was a good girl and immediately deposited that right into my savings account. :) does anybody actually believe that?? well you should, because I did. HA!

*My birthday was FANTASTIC!! Well, other than being sick anyways. My three best friends in the whole world - Paul, Patty and Joe - took me out to dinner at Applebees and of course embarrassed me and had the waiters/waitresses bring me ice cream and sing to me. I got some cool gifts. Paul gave me a REALLY COOL Nightmare Before Christmas music/jewelry box. I'll have to take a picture and post it later. He also got me a computer game I've been wanting. Joe brought me the most beautiful flowers. (again, pictures to come) Patty got me a subscription to the Lost magazine. (yes people, I know I have a serious addiction, bordering illness with this tv show. But it is sooooo great!!! Everybody should seriously watch it!) She also got me some Sudoku books and a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory poster. Larilyn gave me a game for my DS that I've been wanting. My parents gave me Kingdom Hearts 2 for my ps2 and an Itunes gift card and the piano music from Corpse Bride. Anyway, lots of fun stuff. :)

*Patty's birthday was last Friday. We took her to dinner and we were suppose to go to the Whaley House. The Most Haunted show on the Travel Channel said it was the most haunted house in the country. EEK!! Exciting!! We ended up not going though because dinner went longer than planned, so we will hopefully be going this weekend. Dinner was good.....we went to Chili's. I had called about 45 minutes before we got there to get our name on the list because since it was Saturday night there was probably going to be a bit of a wait. We got there and we were second on the list....yet we still had to wait another 40 minutes. Let the anger issues commence. I was really frustrated about that. But other than that everything went well. That just made it so we didn't have enough time to get down to San Diego. But I will keep you updated when we do go (hopefully this weekend) and I'm sure I'll have pictures. We've been talking about going for a long time, so I'm really excited.
So after dinner we just ended up going to Starbucks. HAVE YOU TRIED THEIR NEW LINE OF BANANA DRINKS?!?!?!? YUM!!!
Sorry....I think I'm a little too excited about that. But they are really good. :)
Then we went to the beach and sat and talked......and had the interesting experience of a couple showing up awhile after we got there and then proceded to have sex on the beach no more than about 4o feet away from us. Of course it was dark, but the moon was out, so it wasn't THAT dark. And there were lots of people around. Guess they just aren't very shy. So the four of us that were in the car - Me, Paul, Patty and Hillary - proceeded to roll down the windows and sing at the top of our longs along with the song playing on the cd player - Engelbert Humperdinck "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You". (is that what it's called?? You know.....it's just too good to be true, can't take my eyes off of you....) I'm not sure if they were mad....they kept at it. I think we amused the people in the cars on either side of us though. Good times as Amber would say.

*Ok.....I'll admit I did spend about $100 of my tax return money. But seriously, the rest is in savings. I apparantly am on a Broadway kick again and bought a bunch of soundtracks. I got Avenue Q, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Company, Into the Woods, Cabaret, Chorus Line and Ragtime. I seem to go through phases with the music I listen to. I'll listen to a certain genre of music for a couple of months and then move on to another one and so on. I really do like all kinds of music, except for really twangy country. Sorry. But everything else, other than hardcore east coast/west coast/whatever rap, I really do like.
I also purchased a handful of dvds out of the bargain bin on Amazon.

Well....I guess that's about it for now. I think I'm going to a bonfire at the beach tonight with some friends......that's always fun.
LOST SEASON FINALE TOMORROW!!!!!!! My life will be meaningless after that.....or at least until October when the new season starts. ;)
Stay classy San Diego.
